Vacancy: IT Support Engineer Apprentice

The Plymouth-based company has established a great reputation for providing IT support for small and medium-sized business in the South West; installing, configuring and maintaining IT infrastructure.
They are looking for someone to train as a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician apprentice. The course will take 12-18 months.
During that time, the successful applicant will learn:
PC hardware repairs and installing and upgrading software
Configuring systems and applications
Communicate with customers regarding their issues and providing updates regarding their repairs
Undertake admin tasks such as sending/packaging parts
Visit client sites to assist senior technicians when necessary
Provide support to senior technicians, keep workshop and counter areas clear and clean as possible
Deal with clients on a day-to-day basis on the phone and later on face-to-face
He or she will ideally possess 5 GCSE passes, including maths and English to grade C/4 or above; be reliable; punctual, honest and have good communication skills.
Own transport is preferably but not essential, and applicants who can demonstrate an interest in IT infrastructure will be at an advantage.
Pay for the 37.5 hour working week will be at Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage Rate.
This is a great opportunity to progress to being a fully qualified IT Engineer and work in an in-demand sector of the economy.
Training will be overseen by established experts from the South West Association of Training Providers.
