The apprenticeship journey: Trinity Independent Mortgage Brokers
Trinity operates from a small but very busy office in the centre of Plymouth.
They assist their customers in arranging their mortgage and protecting financial needs. Starting with just 3 mortgage brokers, they have expanded and grown continuously.
Trinity uses the apprenticeship program to hire administration staff to assist brokers with the processing of business. They began hiring and maintaining staff with the apprenticeship program in 2008, with the most recent staff member, Maddie Goldstone, joining in Summer 2021.
Charlotte Staden of Trinity explains: “We decided to take on an apprentice to help our company grow, the apprenticeship option was the right route for us as a company as it enabled us to take on someone who was not already set in their ways with bad habits and was keen to learn.
“By using the apprenticeship programme, it enables our staff member to have support while learning the job and will lead to us having a fully trained staff member with a full-time position within our company.
“I would strongly recommend other employers consider hiring staff via the apprenticeship program with Swatpro Academy, as the level of support is amazing for both employer and employee. The programmes have been easily adapted to assist our chosen employees to learn and progress in accordance with our company needs.”
Maddie Goldstone adds: “I decided to do this apprenticeship as I have always been interested in the administration industry.
“I think this training will lead me to having a better knowledge of business administration and I will be qualified with a level 3 business administration at the end of it.
“The benefits of doing an apprenticeship are that you are learning on the job, so you get the real experience of the industry and you are also earning a qualification while getting paid, all at the same time.”
