Earn as you learn by undertaking an Installation Engineer apprenticeship with a global engineering business.
Import Export Services (IES) Ltd of Bristol are seeking a highly motivated person to join their team and undertake this Level 3 apprenticeship for 4 years. The first three months will be completed at Swatpro Academy’s engineering training centre at Yate, after which you will work mainly in the main site with day release to continue your course.
The role will include travel away from home (worldwide).
This is an exciting prospect to join a fast-paced environment, working with the Engineering team supporting a wide range of tasks and dealing with companies worldwide, not one day is the same as the other and you’ll have the opportunity to learn a lot.
The successful candidate will learn from the ground up with the opportunity to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and services.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for a driven person to start their career with a successful engineering & logistics provider as an apprentice installation engineer. You will learn an array of engineering skills to enable you to effectively move & installation machines worldwide.
About the employer:
IES was established in 1991. Within a year it was taking on employees, and has grown organically ever since! By 1996 it was completing national and international equipment movement projects.
It is now a specialist service provider handling on-site engineering, technical, project management and logistics services in the UK, Europe and globally.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
On completion of your apprenticeship, you will be decommissioning, dismantling, assembling, moving and installing equipment and machinery across a wide range of industry sectors.
Your tasks will include the ground handling of equipment & machinery using safe rigging practices; dismantling and assembling machinery using engineering principles and trouble-shooting issues and obstacles encountered.
You will enjoy a fast-paced, varied and rewarding work environment.
Training will be provided in all areas where not covered through apprenticeship workshops, the use of tools would be dependent on experience and in compliance with Health and Safety laws.

At least 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English & Science at Grade 5-9.
Good written and oral communication skills; IT literate (MS Word, Excel & Outlook)
