Leading frontline care for vulnerable adults within their own homes, day care centres, residential and nursing homes and other healthcare settings.
Details of the Standard
Lead Adult Care Workers are the frontline staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives. In addition, Lead Adult Care Workers have responsibility for providing supervision, frontline leadership, guidance and direction for others, or working autonomously, exercising judgement and accountability. This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in adult care environments.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. This qualification is suitable for those who work within the adult care sector.
English and Maths
English and Maths is required for individuals under 19 without a GCSE grade C/4.

Onboarding includes initial and detailed assessment with sector specialist. regular meetings are flexible and delivered through blended learning approaches, via a mix of face to face and remote delivery. With tri party progress reviews (learner, employer & tutor) and Tri party gateway review prior to end assessment.
