The Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship equips healthcare employees with enhanced healthcare knowledge and role-relevant clinical skills.
Details of the Standard
It offers role-specific pathways including Adult, Theatre, Maternity, Therapy, and Diagnostic Imaging, leads to a nationally recognised Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma, and provides a stepping stone to registered clinical roles in the NHS.
Entry Requirements
Employed in a relevant healthcare support role for the duration of the apprenticeship. Working in a setting that allows development of the required clinical skills.
English and Maths
English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent), or willingness to work towards
Curriculum Overview
This apprenticeship includes 19 mandatory core subjects, with 5 optional units.
Delivery & Readiness
You will attend monthly sessions to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviors required of the Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship. Sessions include Theory study, role play. Simulation / practical sessions/observations and On-line learning sessions.
