Managing individuals, teams, or projects to meet private, public, or voluntary organisational goals.
Details of the Standard
This occupation is found in small, medium, large, and multinational organisations in private, public, and third sectors across all areas of the economy. A team leader is found in organisations where there is a need for first-line management, supervision or support for teams and senior management. The broad purpose of this role is to provide leadership with operational or project responsibilities. Team leaders manage or supervise individuals, teams, or elements of a project, or a combination of these. They offer direction, instructions, and guidance to achieve set goals. They are vital for the smooth running of an organisation’s functions and are often responsible for ensuring that these are correctly administered and maintained in line with legislation and the organisation’s procedures.
Entry Requirements
Organisations will set their own entry criteria and are more likely to select individuals with more advanced inter-personal skills, experience of working with customers in some capacity.
English and Maths
You must achieve level 2 English and maths prior to taking the end point assessment.
Curriculum Overview
Data collection & benchmarking, problem analysis and conclusions, people & relationships, future plans & opportunities, building a high performance team, communication & implementing operational plans, managing change & continuous improvement, using technology, contributing to a project.
Delivery & Readiness
Onboarding includes initial and detailed assessment with sector specialist. Regular meetings are flexible and delivered through blended learning approaches, via a mix of face to face and remote delivery. With tri party progress reviews (learner, employer & tutor) and Tri party gateway review prior to end assessment.
Summary of End-Point-Assessment
Presentation with questions and professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio.
EPA window: 3 months
Grades Available: Fail, Pass, Distinction
