Reflective writing is an important part of the apprenticeship journey. It helps apprentices clearly explain what they have learned, how they have applied new knowledge and skills in the workplace, and how they have developed in their role.
The new self-learning package provides practical guidance, useful tips and clear examples to help apprentices write meaningful reflections with greater confidence.
It supports apprentices to:
- describe the learning activity they completed;
- explain the new knowledge, skills or behaviours they developed;
- show how the learning has been applied in the workplace;
- consider the impact of the learning on their role and performance; and
- identify how they will continue to develop.
The package is particularly useful for apprentices who need a little extra support when recording their Off-the-Job Training or who would like to make their reflections more detailed and purposeful.
By improving reflective writing, apprentices can create stronger evidence of their progress and demonstrate the value and impact of their learning throughout the programme.
Apprentices who would like to access the Reflective Writing Support package should speak to their tutor. Or contact us at info@swatpro.org.uk
