As an apprentice, you're in a unique position. You're learning new skills, gaining real workplace experience and building the foundations for your future career. While some days will feel easier than others, taking a moment to recognise your progress can make a big difference.
Think about the last few weeks. Have you:
- Learned a new skill?
- Completed a task you couldn't do when you first started?
- Received positive feedback from a colleague or manager?
- Helped a customer, colleague or teammate?
If the answer is yes to any of these, that's something worth celebrating!
This month, why not challenge yourself to keep track of one good thing that happens each day? It could be something as simple as finishing a piece of work, speaking up in a meeting, or helping someone out!
Remember, happiness at work isn't about having a perfect day every day, it's about recognising your progress, building positive relationships and taking pride in the work you do.
This week's challenge: Share one thing you've enjoyed or achieved at work recently with your tutor, mentor or fellow apprentices.

Feature; Staying Safe, Informed and Connected Across Devon, Dorset and Somerset
Apprenticeships offer opportunities to learn, work and become more independent. Whether you are travelling to work, attending training, meeting friends or spending time online, it is important to know how to keep yourself and others safe. Devon, Dorset and Somerset are generally safe places to live, work and study. However, every community has risks, and these can vary between busy towns, cities, rural communities and coastal areas. Being aware of your surroundings—and knowing where to find help—can make a real difference.
