About Us

South West Association of Training Providers Ltd (Swatpro) was formed in 2011 as a partnership of employers and training providers. They continue to provide an effective, not-for-profit, efficient and cost-effective training provider partnership that supports employers and learners across the South West.

The partnership is managed by a Board, chaired by Swatpro’s Chief Executive Officer. The Board includes managers from Swatpro’s partners. A non-executive director offers the board advice and direction about possible future developments in training.

The company has a unique pedigree as a not-for-profit company that is limited by guarantee. It's membership of established providers, that are approved on the Education and Skills Funding Agency's Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register (APAR), have a history of delivering high quality learning and skills.

We offer apprenticeships to levy and non-levy paying employers across the following sectors:

We lead on the delivery of apprenticeship standards for both levy and non-levy businesses, delivering high-quality, flexible skills solutions that meet the needs of the modern workplace, and deliver a high return on investment.

We provide learning for individuals which may be funded, supported via an Advanced Learner Loan or through a commercial purchase.

We support learners with information, advice and guidance on finding an apprenticeship opportunity that will match their ambitions, and provide the skills training and support, or find other opportunities if an apprenticeship isn’t the suitable option.

Success is achieved by working in partnership with our employers and our professional dedicated team. Our team has a strong and successful background in the various sectors. We have the required skills in performance management, contract management, project management and quality improvement to ensure continuous improvement is achieved. This means we embed what works well and we have an openness to ensure that our partnerships continue to keep up-to-date with new ways of working.
