Accounting Apprentice

What will the apprentice be doing?

With full training, your responsibilities will be as follows and which will evolve and develop overtime:

  • Undertake various reception and other office duties to maintain an efficient and professional working environment that supports productivity, teamwork and client satisfaction.
  • To complete company secretarial work for corporate clients including though not exclusively set up, filing confirmation statement and record amendments
  • To undertake bookkeeping work including analysis of bank statements, collating receipts and organising client files assisting in VAT returns and account preparation.
  • Assist with the preparation of self-assessment personal and company tax returns.
  • Prepare and run client payrolls and complete end of year payroll processes

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Assistant accountant Level 3 (A level)
  • AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting
  • Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment.

Apprenticeship Training Provided by Assessor at Swatpro, every 4 weeks.
In house training for the job role provided by employer.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Possible permanent role after apprenticeship and opportunity for further qualification
