Apprentice Development Test Technician

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Testing of Rotork products to verify and validate functionality
  • Innovation of new products ranges for a variety of industries
  • Design and Fabrication of test rigs / equipment for the use within the department
  • Using computer based control and instrumentation systems
  • Fault finding of complex electro-mechanical products
  • Maintenance and calibration of test equipment

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications

  • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)

After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Mechatronics Maintenance Technician
  • Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) – for all starts from 1st July 2017

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

After completing the apprenticeship and an HNC / HND, there is the option to progress to further education in the form of a degree – funded by the Company.
