What you will do in your working day

The role gives the opportunity for the chosen candidate to start out in an Engineering career.

The foundation skills that will be taught and obtained through the BEMA training school coupled with various department roles within Seetru makes for a solid training path.

You will be expected to immerse yourself fully in the requirements of the Apprenticeship pathway, such as being attentive, diligent and studying for exams when necessary.The Apprenticeship will be demanding at times but also very rewarding.

Seetru will as always be very active in supporting the training needs of the chosen candidate.

Machining Technicians interpret information and plan their activities. They also set up, operate, adjust or edit machine tool settings. When using CNC equipment, they can produce, prove or edit programmes.

The training you will be getting

Engineering: Machining Technician (Level 3)

Apprentice will work towards ONE of the folloqing mandatory qualifications:

  • EAL L3 Extended diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge) Level: 3
  • EAL L3 Extended diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge) minimum 720GLH.
  • Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Machining) (Development Technical Knowledge)
    Level: 3
  • City and Guilds Machining technician (1273)
    Level: 3
